My Journey
With over 40 years of hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, and executive leadership, I bring a proven track record of building, transforming, and expanding industrial operations—especially within the power systems and engine manufacturing sectors. My journey began in the German Navy, where I trained as a chief engineer and developed a deep understanding of marine engines. I then joined Daimler in 1992, taking on leadership roles across several plants before moving to MTU Friedrichshafen in 2000. In 2005, I accepted the challenge of managing the Detroit plant in the U.S., and soon after, I led the complete relocation and setup of a state-of-the-art engine production facility in Aiken, South Carolina.
In Aiken, I oversaw the growth of the site from a basic production facility to a full-service operation, including new product lines, advanced test benches, and green energy initiatives. I also spearheaded the nationally recognized mtu Youth Apprenticeship Program, which earned praise from the U.S. Department of Labor and an invitation to the White House.
My leadership has always centered around building collaborative, high-performing teams and creating environments where innovation and accountability thrive. These qualities are now at the heart of my LLC, where I offer strategic guidance, operational excellence, and leadership development services to organizations navigating growth or transformation. With decades of cross-cultural management, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial drive, I’m a seasoned and trusted partner ready to deliver real results for clients.
